Our Honey & Honeycomb

Here are some pics of our honey! We sell our honey in 500 gram square plastic jars, 1 Kg, and 1.5 Kg plastic 'pails' and the largest we sell is a 3 Kg plastic 'pail'. Our 500 gram is currently $4.50, 1 Kg is $8.00, 1.5 Kg is $12.00, while the 3 Kg is $22.00.

The heating of our honey is kept to a minimum, in order to ensure that we preserve the natural and beneficial properties of pure honey. As a result of this our honey does crystalise, and much quicker than honey bought from a supermarket. However this does not mean that the honey is no good or "gone off" - quite the opposite!! It is a sign of a fresh, natural, pure honey! When our honey begins to crystalise, all you need to do is submerse it in warm water which will soften the honey and you can continue to use and enjoy our natural honey :-) At times when our own honey at the breakfast table has began to crystalise - we simply just continue to use it! It is less runny and less messy... so really there are no negatives to natural honey! And they taste so much better than store bought honey.

Our honeycomb is made by the bees directly into the round holder, so there is very little intervention by us in terms of extracting the honeycomb from the hive and packaging it. We simply push the rounds out of the frame, place it into the outer packaging and seal it up!! No centrifugal extraction (as with the honey from the frames), no handling at all...  Our Honeycomb is from Red Clover which has many health benefits, due to its anti-bacterial and germ reducing properties. The properties contained in Red Clover are also thought to stimulate the immune system. Here is a photo of our honeycomb rounds
